John Ryskamp is a widower, author, retired engineer, and professor. He worked on short assignments in France, Germany, Austria, Japan, and Canada. John has traveled around the world to 21 countries, caved in Mexico and Belize, backpacked in Nepal, Norway, Australia, and New Zealand, snorkeled in Thailand and Costa Rica, dove and played music in Hawaii, and spent 25 years as a ski patroller and mountain climber in Idaho. He and his second wife of 25 years live in Talent, Oregon. He has four children and five grandchildren.
